Studies show that exercise improves mental health by reducing symptoms related to depression, anxiety and improving feelings of self-esteem and self-confidence. Living in one of the most beautiful places in the world, we have the ability to connect our bodies and minds year-round. These effects are enhanced when exercise occurs outside in the sun when the body is able to increase its exposure to Vitamin D. It’s a win-win.
What does this look like in real life?
We will meet at a location chosen by us together that aligns with your comfort level and is convenient for you. We will spend the 50-minute therapy session hiking/walking outside.
Hi, I’m Amy (she, her). I am originally from Boston and after graduating from Smith College School of Social Work, I moved to the Bay Area and have never looked back. I am a wife, mom of two young boys, a sister, a daughter, and a friend.
I have over a decade of experience supporting young adults and families work through life’s challenges. I approach the work with a relational and system-oriented framework and partner with you to establish goals in order to decrease feelings and symptoms that are impacting your life negatively. I provide a safe, confidential, and therapeutic space either via telehealth, via eco-therapy, or a combination of both.
